Why torture a minimum wage seasonal worker that way?

Because it's much, much easier than formulating a coherent, carefully reasoned argument.

A coherent, carefully reasoned argument? Have you looked around at the world lately?

Yes, I have. In fact, I have to, as I'm taking a graduate class in international relations, and if I didn't look around the world, my grade would probably suffer.

When I look around at the world, I do not see a shortage of bumper sticker slogans. I do not see a debate that would benefit from someone saying "Stick It."

You know, if one person, just one person does it they may think he's really sick and they won't take him. And if two people, two people do it, in harmony, they may think they're both faggots and they won't take either of them. And three people do it, three, can you imagine, three people walking in singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out. They may think it's an organization. And can you, can you imagine fifty people a day,I said fifty people a day walking in singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out. And friends they may think it's a movement.
It only works if the words "Stick it" become a shorthand for that speech, and that only happens if enough people do it to make people ask "what's going on here?"

yeah, that would never get anyone's attention but some poor schmuck who probably doesn't care either.

What I really need is a bumper sticker that says "Objecting to Bush is Patriotic."
