Still feeling in a bit of a flat spin, socially. Went to a small party this afternoon, more of a get-together, with some friends I haven't seen in a while, and an echo of a connection was there, it was nice. No partner in crime, though, and that kinda leaves me rudderless at times. Like yesterday, which I spent largely directionless... played some video game, watched some DVD, and eventually did find some company for Hitchhiker's Guide. Which was surprisingly good. Or rather, the good parts outweighed the bad. (Trillian's eyes, oh my, I could just stare at those scenes for hours...)
Ideas have been forthcoming for the Eberron run, though, thanks to some conversations had this afternoon in Salem. We'll see what makes the cut in the end. Really what I need to do is practice what they call "setting the scene". Maybe try reading to a mirror a bit, or something... Making sentences appear without ums or ers is a big step.
Not enough physical activity in my life. Still haven't managed to rock climb, and now I can't even find my bike helmet. I will buy a new one tomorrow after one final sweep of the house. Anyone want to ride the Minuteman in the morning hours, after Ace Wheelworks has opened?
Been reading The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay... slowly. It's too hot to sit still and read; I become all too aware of the sweatiness in a way that the TV or video game trance hides away. Or maybe that room is just cooler, but I can't be in that room without the TV on. Hmm. I have no good reading spot. It's bed, a computer chair, or the couch in front of the TV. I haven't really considered the living room comfortable for a while; I wonder why...
And I must be out of things to say, if I'm talking about that.
