weighty issues of the day

So, over the past four months or so, I've gained about 15 pounds.  This needs to stop.

I brought my gym bag into work today, and I'm going to work out at lunchtime.  I'm going to start biking to work on days I'm not bringing my gym bag to or from the office.

I'm going to stop eating french fries.  I'm going to eat salad for lunch a lot more often, and stop with the cheesy foods like pizza or garlic bread.  I'll have more fruits and vegetables around the house, and eat sandwiches made with lean cold cuts, vegetables, whole-grain bread, and (as a concession to flavor), cheese. 

No more heavy tasty drinks at work, just water and the occasional diet soda.

I'll write down all the food I eat.  This is only the beginning.  But I finally got up the nerve to weigh myself this morning, and this is unacceptible.

I highly recommend http://www.fitday.com/ which has calorie counters and exercise counters and free accounts. Good luck!

Dude, hardcore. That's what I've been up to lately, too. Just making sure I eat slightly less every time I sit down, and eat more fruits and vegetables. I've been amazed to note that without really angsting about it, I've lost fifteen pounds since mid-February. Just keep it up!

Careful not to make it so hard you just give up.

But why am I warning you. You've done this before. You know what works for you.

Not that I've been able to get back to dieting. I didn't know it was supposed to harder to get back on the diet the second time.

oh look, I misspelled unacceptable. Again.

That word is now my nemesis.

And thanks, yeah. I actually have been doing pretty well today, even ignoring the half hour on the elliptical trainer after lunch. Hopefully I can manage to keep it up.
