- Keep a straight face better. Don't break into laughing, chuckling, or giggling. Or at best, keep it down to an appropriate amount for the joke at hand. Perhaps more awakeness will help with that.
- Separate character from player when a certain person says "don't do that". Ignore perceived "shut up" signals from said person, as they are erroneous.
- Speak Up More. Take risks, and take the heat from the party if it was a wrong choice.
- Heed advice from other players, but don't be a slave to it.
