As for the weekend, watched Hellboy on DVD, saw Arcadia (the MIT Community Players were outstanding - probably the best performance I've seen in Kresge) (I didn't get to bike there after all-couldn't get out of the house in time to make it happen), ate at Outback, Zaftig's and Mary's, saw Manchurian Candidate (don't bother if you remember the original at any level of detail; the things they changed will just irk you.), and saw the pilot episode of Stargate: Atlantis.
Even though I agreed that it kinda sucked right after watching it (forget who was saying that), I now think Atlantis shows promise. It's got the standard sci-fi setup, and the introduction of the elements they're using was well-handled; it had less pilotitis than most shows do (want to compare to "The Gathering" or "The Emissary," anyone?) The academic in Atlantis reminded me of the academic in Arcadia, but only vaguely. Just the exuberance, not the misplaced priorities. Oh, and a little of his jealousy.
Anyway, that's what's up with me. What up wid joo?
