Spider-Man 2

I loved this movie, but I have to admit I'm surprised so many other people had great things to say about it. I kind of had to put effort into ignoring the large amounts of expository dialog, and more effort into just accepting the scientific premise of Doc Ock's ... ailment. The plot was telegraphed a mile away, but it was the plot that had to be put on screen. And it was what I wanted to see, but...

...it just felt like a much more niche movie than the first. Maybe the niche has simply... been expanded.

Yeah, the Doc Ock thing certainly required a bit of disbelief-suspension.

As for the movie as a whole, I enjoyed it, but it's hard to say whether I'm part of the niche. I feel that dating R (and living with a certain other of my housemates) certainly gave me more appreciation for the Spiderman and X-men movies, but I am not, myself, a comic-book geek.

So there you have it. So informative! ;-)
