anyone else worried?

I mean really worried... that Bush has his end of the world, trigger the Rapture, plan all figured out, and it involves getting his banking friends to all pitch in and tank the economy?

Graphs like these scare the bejeezus out of me. Is there going to be a dollar in a year? If I think my banks are going to forget everything in their computers that say they owe me money, what do I convert it to now? Could I even get gold if I wanted it?

It's just a corner of my mind saying these things, but... sometimes I play this out in my mind, and think to myself: "Bush has no intention of letting another person inherit the presidency of a world power."

I should at least fill the gas tank.

the rhetoric begins

McCain wants to go to Iran, and if elected, he shall. But the best part of the story on it is this:
McCain ultimately corrected himself after Sen. Joe Lieberman whispered in his ear.
Does this mean that he's going to actually attempt to remain factual in his march to war? It'd be a refreshing step up from Bush's constant pounding on how Iraq and al Qaeda were one and the same...

But he'll go to Iran, and we'll all pay. Our coffers will be empty, and we'll be unable to pitch in any further on financial emergencies like the recent $20B we "loaned" the company that was buying that other company. As much as I don't like corporate handouts, I still do prefer it to the utter chaos that awaits us the time we can't do it.

So much for the "free market economy." But I guess we haven't really had one of those in decades...
