a little bit of fantasy...

So cool! Dingbot! (Which reminds me of a certain piece of art I still need to get a hold of, if it's still available after so much delay...)

D&D post-mortem: next time, have the big people battle come closer to the PCs, rather than trying to keep it away so they don't feel "ineffectual." Remember to volunteer more clues in a mystery. And when rain and thunder start up during a run, try to incorporate them, because that's just cool.

It is getting easier, though.

The Inside

From Tim Minear, with bit parts for Adam Baldwin and Katie Finneran, from Firefly and Wonderfalls respectively, comes a cop show about some sort of special unit that profiles and does deep investigation of serious crimes. In the episode I saw, they're investigating murders that seem to be associated with this S&M club, and while they skip what I would have thought would have been the obvious privacy issues in the clientele, they went straight to Prime Suspect Guy, and...

...anyway, there was some neat psychological stuff in it, and it looks like there is going to be some work done developing the main detectives and their relationship with the boss of the place. I'm going to keep an eye on this vaguely disturbing, mostly interesting crime drama. See if it ends up going somewhere. Jane Espenson, another name I caught in the opening credits, had some high-ranking position on Buffy, too. And that's really all I need to know to wait and see what the deal is with this show.
