mind go

Chest is feeling a bit better. Haven't felt nausea since taking aspirin yesterday morning... I've been noticing I need to work on my posture a little. Some soreness has moved around to my back, but it's nothing to worry about. I'm going to play softball tonight and keep my eyes open for any problems... last week wasn't very strenuous though. I swung the bat maybe twice in anger (er, at a ball being pitched) and got walked twice in my two at-bats. And right field never had anything to do.

When will I get a chance to see Shrek 2? Not sure. Hopefully before Croatia. Sunday afternoon/evening, maybe?

Plans are starting to solidify - dinner at Rob & Meg's at 8 Saturday (8, right, Meg? can people show up earlier for out-hanging?) Sunday we'll meet at Chau Chow City in Chinatown at 11:30 for some hot Dim Sum Action(TM).

I'm starting to get packed for the trip, need to remember to pick up some Mach 3 blades. Or Mach 3 Turbo.

Looking at places I want to think about living next, I've come up with the list: Minneapolis, Boston, Seattle, Denver... I have a list of companies in those places to look at, with interesting job listings. Need to look at Raleigh/Durham, Austin and SF, still.

Whew. This is going to be a great trip :)

I'd like to say thanks for your support yesterday on the "chest pain" thing... I have just now figured out how to explain why I'm pretty confident that it's just a muscle thing... When I move or stretch a certain way I can feel the tension, feel it getting slightly achier. A nagging at the back of my brain says maybe I should sit out the softball game tonight, but I'd rather make it, and just be careful there, I think.

I've had this before, actually... been to the hospital for it once, even. It was during a cold when I was sneezing a bunch, so it really hurt my chest. The doctors looked at my heart reading (on the EKG thingamabob, I guess) and said that was fine, so it must be pneumonia. I left with antibiotics. I talked to my PCP the next day and got told "it's not pneumonia, just a pulled muscle, here's some aspirin++," and "stop taking the antibiotics, you've only had one of them so far so it's not dangerous to stop the course."

So... Um... What was my point again? Oh yeah, I seem to be fine. And thanks :)
