digitally altered state of the union

New York Times (reg required) reports that Republicans edited the State of the Union for inclusion in their attack ad. It was not a substantive change, just clearing up the slight stutter where he started to say "wial" instead of "vial"...

So, it's amusing, but... I wouldn't say it's damning. It does present the President as a better orator than he is, but seriously: "Democrats were ecstatic over the perceived chink in an advertisement that they have criticized for days as unfair."? That's the kind of thing that's going to make us look petty and annoying in the upcoming election.
