geekfest '04 in Rochester

This is my living room, as I'm sorting my comic books, watching Buffy, logged onto AIM, and ... well, there's a DDR pad visible back there, dismantled to do some repairs. I've done a bunch of this today, and on top of that, I've pieced together a DVD of Battlestar Galactica from MPEG downloads from my ReplayTV.

All in all, a very geeky day. Suitably relaxing.

What do you use to download mpgs?
I recently installed DVArchive on the iMac 17 at home, but about half the time it crashes the replay when I pull down a show.

Re: What do you use to download mpgs?
There's a python program that I use. Aha. Found it. here. Last time I tried the OS X native client that's at that same site, it couldn't download mpegs. Might be better by now, but since my DVD writer is in my desktop PC, I haven't tried it lately.

Let me know how that goes for ya... the software I have for this currently is kinda infuriating.
