unsure of myself

When I have a belief, such as "The Matrix Revolutions was a great film," and I kind of have these nebulous thoughts about why this is so, and why other people are wrong... I tend to say things publically, to try to get people to disagree. Only by arguing with someone over my belief can I truly come to have faith that I'm right about something.

What's this say about me?

That your mind is open to a healthy extent. You have opinions, and you have a reasonably firm grip on them. But you realize that there may be avenues of thought you didn't explore, and know that you can explore those through debating your opinions with others.

If you were insecure in your beliefs, I'd think you would feel uncomfortable debating them. And your wording suggests that it is the debate you seek (and maybe the convincing of others), not the uncontested agreement of others.

Sometimes I don't even know what I think about something until I talk about it with someone.

I haven't seen Matrix 3 yet, so can't comment there. But I was fairly disappointed by Matrix 2. But not as disappointed as I was by Star Wars Episode 2.
