*whew* Done! well, Started.

Deanites.org is up and getting its slow little start, seeded with a few stories I gleaned off our local political mailing list. Soon it’ll be ready for me to announce, but for now it’s kinda up in a not-prettified form. Hopefully I’ll be making more adjustments over the next few weeks, to make it nicer (get rid of those red corners, that kind of thing...) and then announce it, get a slew of people talking politics intelligently, and see us figure out the solution to the world’s problems right there in the forum! Yeah!

It took some doing, but everything seems to be up and running. Kick ass. :)

Before you announce it, you might want to make sure that the "about" and FAQ links in the upper left refer to Deanites.org, rather than to slashcode.

Not in any way to malign your effort, but this is one of those things I just don't get. (And I'd like to.)

Why is it supposed to be good to have hundreds of Dean-blog-type sites that all have pretty much the same information and the same links to the same stories? Why is it not better to have ONE site that has all that information, and just direct everyone to it? Will your site actually have anything that isn't duplicated on dozens of other sites? Will they have anything that isn't duplicated on yours? If I'm reading howard_dean, why should I go to your site too?
