realization

I don't have any idea how to ask people for help packing things up... It feels like there isn't enough for people to do yet, that the things that remain are... things that should come later, or something. I'm sitting here, wondering what I should pack, and nothing comes to mind, so how can I tell other people to come over and help pack?

I think that I can get the rest done without too much help, actually — just company would do it, in theory. I wonder if I'm in a delusional state again... it doesn't feel like it, though. Think I'll go downstairs and pack up my DVDs, though. Won't need those before leaving, I bet.

Letting us just have time to be with your before you go is important. You mean a lot to a lot of people.

Dude, you're leaving this week. Pretend you're on vacation for a week -- what do you pack in your suitcase? A week of clothes, toiletries, maybe a movie or a book or something. Pack *everything* else. You can use your roomies' dishes, I'm sure. . .

And, *hugs* I can help you tomorrow, during/before/after your party. At the very least, I can point and tell you what to pack. And if, when you unpack, you're one VCR less, I'll deny it. :) Just kidding.

Well, I'd *like* to keep the Replay plugged in until Thursday morning, for example. And I'd like to figure out how to get the other TV upstairs before taking mine apart, to cause minimal disruption of service to my housemates... That kind of thing. Bring up the Playstation 2, to replace my DVD player...

But most of the stuff in the common areas that is mine is packed at this point... Need to finish the kitchen stuff, and clean up my role-playing game stuff, but... It's looking good.

As for before/during/after the party help, I don't think I want to be putting people to work during the party ;) If you show up early I can think of something I'm sure.
