interview results

Well, it was great. There was this nice sounding support job working on a product that sounds really cool. Support with some hand in development/debugging type tasks, and it just sounded great. He liked me, I liked him, it was going really well. I was answering his questions well, with some amount of charisma and smoothness, for once finding myself not tongue-tied in face of questions about what I can do.

Then we got to talking about the timeline on their hiring process, and my time constraints. It came down to:

“In theory, I’m loading a truck next Wednesday.”
“You’re probably going to have to load that truck.”

Disappointing, but not unexpected. So it’s time to start thinking about packing. See next post on my thoughts on that.

Too bad. For what it's worth, I think you are being way smart taking the bird in the hand. You tried your best to make it work, but the timing didn't happen. I think that you should have no regrets.
