hmm...

Would people get it if I got a t-shirt made that said "Dole voter for McCain"? (To be fair, this line of thought started more seriously, with me pondering what a "Dean voter for Obama" shirt would mean :)

I thought Kerry was the hamster? Dole was a hamster, too?

I don't get "Dole voter for McCain" unless it's supposed to be a pun with "dole" also meaning welfare?

Yes, Dole was also a hamster. It's just that the meme didn't exist yet.

I don't suppose crs is going to explain what he meant now that he's been enlightened about hamsters...

So it wasn't actually that good. It was a chain of thought that started with a "Hillary voter for Obama" shirt (and for McCain, seen those too...), it led through a "hmm, Dean voter for Obama. No wait, he lost, that would probably be bad... even if the words on the shirt did convey information, it would also open one up to attack..."

And then I thought of what past losers' voters McCain could get the support of... Dole seemed obvious.

It's really not all that funny, in retrospect. Lots of these things die hours (or minutes) after you think of them.

I'm on the DOLE!!!!

Some would get it. Many would not.

Some would get it later. Those are the ones to strive for.

I get something. I don't know if what I get is what you meant.
