Hmmmm ... almost all discipline? Kind of seems like if you're going to the last couple of items there, you might as well dump 7 more points in and get all of the upper level of Discipline.

I mean, you're healing will suffer but ...

I really don't have that much interest in Focused Power or Force of Will... and the low level Holy things really do help in a raid.

I'm actually tempted to drop Pain Suppression and a point of something high up, in favor of getting to Spirit of Redemption... It'd look a little something like this

Though, if I don't get the top tier of reflective shield, though, people will get annoyed at me putting it on them, if another priest could give them the full 50% shebang.

Maybe I could lose a point of Misery instead of Reflective Shield...

No, I don't think either of those tradeoffs is worth it for Spirit of Redemption.

Spirit of Redemption Sucks. Don't waste time getting to it.

I like it. it's fun... but then my 60 priest is goign tobe moved off the server, so people shouldn't listen to me.

Spirit of Redemption
lemurtanis is probably complaining about Spirit of Redemption because of me, at least partially. I love the idea, but the execution just doesn't work. It's very rare for me to get 6 seconds of casting from the 10 seconds. Quite often, even though I know that death (and thus SoR) is coming, I don't manage to complete a single 3-second cast before the SoR ends.

This happens when latency is low, with a good network connection, in instances, bg's, crowded and uncrowded zones, etc. It happens reliably for myself and for all of the other priests on my server I've talked to. Do you guys have it much better over on your server?

Re: Spirit of Redemption
I really haven't died enough with my priest to know for certain, but I feel I have enough time to at least get some renews off and a prayer of healing.

I think I just don't quite have enough experience to answer the question well.

Comments on spec...
I don't know what roles you expect to be playing with Dagny in general, but I personally expect to go a bit more heavily into Holy (although now that you can heal in Shadow... Hmm...)

I am a big fan of Holy Nova, and I am generally happy with the points I spent in Holy Reach just based on the added punch to Holy Nova and Prayer of Healing.

I don't know why you'd want 5/5 in Misery when you're 0/5 in Force of Will; I read the latter as being strictly better in every way.

Pain Suppression doesn't seem worth it to me, especially since you're skipping out on some of the other damage mitigators (Imp Inner Fire, Spell Warding)

Imp Divine Spirit might actually convince more people to care about Spirit, but it seems natural to combine that with Spiritual Guidance (unless the two effects don't stack, I suppose).

Empowered Healing could be sweet, easily an extra 75-100 on a min rank Greater Heal if it's based on equipment. If instead it concerns spell effects, see above comment about Spirit talents. If both... gah.

How do you like Meditation, so far? I'm on the fence about it, but it looks very nice for much of my end-game concerns.

It's nifty to see someone go for Holy Spec/Divine Fury over Imp Renew... how's that working out for you? I'm vaguely interested in Holy Spec/Divine Fury myself...

(My 60 priest is not my main, so I've only played him in Ony/AQ20 and `down', more or less).

Oops!

I meant ``Holy Spec/Inspiration'', not ``Holy Spec/Divine Fury''.

Re: Comments on spec...
I'm seriously considering dropping Pain Suppression.

As for Misery, well, that all depends on whether my reading of the talent is wrong - "Your damage over time spells cause the target to take an additional 5% spell damage." Let's look at this sentence.

It doesn't read "Your damage over time spells cause the target to take an additional 5% damage from your spells." It doesn't read "Your damage over time spells cause an additional 5% damage."

I believe that, with Misery, if I drop a SW:P on a target, the Fireball that the Mage next to me casts does an extra 5% damage.

If this is true, then the talent is completely worth having, and indispensable in a raid.. If this is false, then Misery sucks and isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

Re: Comments on spec...
Ah, I had not considered that reading of Misery at all... Now that you've suggested how it might work, I agree entirely with you -- excellent or worthless.

Re: Comments on spec...
As for "only in Ony/AQ20 and 'down'"... well, I've now been in raid groups for AQ20 and MC for significant time, but have only set foot in BWL once, and haven't touched AQ40 or Naxx. I've helped kill Onyxia a few times, but never on a regular basis (though I'm starting to get weekly shots at it since I started paying closer attention...)

So while I feel I'm very well equipped (6/8 Virtuous, 6/8 Prophecy, Leggings of Transcendence, and some good AQ20 purples, as well as both the AQ20 ring and cloak) I've not done all that much in the highest set of dungeons.

Also unfortunate is the fact that everyone and their brother does their ZG runs on Tuesdays in our alliance, these days.

I just started up in PvP last week, and I've already hit Sergeant, btw. It's kinda fun. :)

Re: Comments on spec...
Right now, our guild is heavily into encouraging people to raid with their main, and only with their main. That said, I'vve had my alt-priest pulled into raids before, when we were low on priests, so Herod has been to Ony, AQ20 a couple times, and the standard 5&10 mans. Mostly I was trying to suggest `not good equipment' -- I have probably 4 or 5 Virtuous/Devout, no Prophecy, Transcendence, etc. I have one of the AQ item drops, but nowhere near enough rep to use it yet.

To put it another way, I upgraded my priest hat from the Magisters Crown to the Spellweaver Turban in the last week. :-)

btw, I agree about the PvP stuff... I hit Knight last week with my Warlock. AV is fun, WSG can be fun but is usually a Horde rout in our cluster, and AB sits in between the two; sometimes fun, sometimes painful.

If you're thinking metamage, there's this:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/bc-priest/talents.html?50523001305051200125000000000000000000000053240010050001000000

which is also much more PvP friendly, since it gives you Mind Flay.

metamage/pvp
This looks fun, but I wince at the idea of 21 Shadow but no Silence...

I'm fond of reach talents, especially for PvP, and I don't expect you'd really care so much for threat reducers, so how about this:
