North Korea

This Russian photographer went to North Korea and came back with an eerie portfolio. Darkly beautiful, it feels to me like gazing on a dark side of human nature.

Thank you for the link. That was fascinating.

And surreal. The differences between private life things and public life things made it seem like it was all Sim City. Like, as long as you stand far enough back, everything is wonderful and beautiful... and then you notice there is no traffic on that six lane bridge.

I don't know enough about daily life in communist russia to understand some of his comments. But still, wow.

The blue houses are the best.

This is so interesting, thank you for posting this.

Everything seems so empty and still. Totalitarian architecture is god-awful, but they seem to have a lot of respect for nature.
