DC is cool.

I drove to DC yesterday. Picked up Scott at the airport in the evening, and found out *then* that Sandra Day O'Connor is retiring. *cringe*

Went to a wedding today. It was really cool, involving a cruise up the Potomac and back. Brad, the groom, is a friend from high school - other than him and Scott, I started the day knowing no one else on board the boat. It ended up being a good time anyway :)

Lots of LJ to catch up on. Hmm. At least there's free net here, once I noticed the thing here, and found out cables were in the closet.

Driving long distances is nice, though. I'm definitely looking forward to doing this again for Gen Con.

I'm glad you had a good time. :) Sometime when you pretty much know know anyone, it forces you to be outgoing and you get to meet lots of cool people you wouldn't meet if you knew just a few people and clumped as a group the whole time.

Enjoy DC. There are so many cool things to do there. If you need some awesome beach time instead, hit Assateague in Maryland on your way back. It's beautiful white sands, national seashore (I think?) and wild horses. Of course it might be less deserted on a holiday weekend than on the random summer Monday we were there. ;)
