update

I guess I haven't really made it official yet here. So here's the news.

June 22 is my last day at Ciber and at IBM. I will then drive my car and some of my stuff across the country, seeing sights on the way, to arrive June 27 to crash with someone until I find an apartment to move into (I have a very likely prospect at the moment; we'll see how I feel when I see it in person :)... And then I start June 28 at Connecterra, in a kickass new job with things like real responsibility, real engineering, and real prospects for the future.

Rock on.

Re: Congrats!!!
Sounds like a plan.

I realized when talking to my husband that although our basement isn't a good storage place our extra bedrooms could be used as (short-term) storage if necessary.

Re: so...
I'm pretty sure I can; when I was getting a vanity plate in the first place I noticed there was a rule that said, approximately, "if the plate you want has been in use in at some point in the last n years, we get the previous holder's permission before releasing it to you."

The real question is, can I really justify the expense? Maybe I can but I've done ok this year in Minnesota with just my KYM ### plate.

There's also the question of how it works when you're not switching from a normal Mass plate; what do I use while waiting for the plate to be ready? And there's the fact that if I get a vanity plate now I'll be up for re-registration fees in a mere three months. Or was it November? I forget. but nevertheless, ick.
