The Wrath of ... Archer?

Enterprise has taken a turn for the inept. No, it has simply continued down its path of inadequacy, and failed to continue the legacy the first season tried to start. They got sloppy, they got into cause-of-the-week mode, and they got into Event mode. And now they are stumbling their way into a very generic arc plot. I can see next season unfolding before my eyes already.

Enterprise has become Voyager. *sigh*

And the worst part is there was some hope for it. It generated some decent stand alone episodes, and the time-line arc was intriguing but it was ok if it went slowly.

I'm similarly disappointed by the way Andromeda became unwatchable.

There was hope for it?

I wasn't crazy about much of the first episode - about the only thing I liked was some of the look of the ship itself. The second was enough to make me not bother watching. The ads I've seen for later episodes made me lump it with Voyager long ago.

Andromeda, on the other hand, had some potential, until Sorbo turned it into The Science-Fiction Fight-of-the-Week Show, at which point, as you say, it became unwatchable.

Firefly was good, if short-lived. Stargate's good - not B5 quality, but very watchable. (I'm watching it in reruns; up to mid-2nd-season.)
